Friends whom the woman called asking for a ride contacted troopers when the woman did not appear at the designated pick-up place, records stated.

A Seventh Avenue residence was entered through an unlocked back window last week and a DVD player, VCR, CDs, movies, a computer monitor and a television were stolen, said Fairbanks police Lt. Jim Geier of Fairbanks.

Fairbanks police arrested Robert W. Vann, 29, on charges of first-degree burglary, domestic assault, interfering with a domestic assault report, fifth-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and two counts of assault on a police officer.

The arrest took place about 2 a.m. Tuesday after troopers were called to Vann's former fiancee's Craig Avenue residence, according to police records.

The woman reported he broke in through a garage door while yelling threats. He is accused of throwing a cell phone on the floor and damaging furniture. Vann struck and bit officers trying to detain him, Geier said.

* Kenneth T. Ross, 20, of Fairbanks was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a revoked license and resisting arrest Monday.

Ross also faces charges of failure to maintain traffic lane, refusing a portable breath test and operating a motor vehicle after minor consuming alcohol.

* Evan Zantow, 34, of North Pole was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal to submit to a chemical breath test Monday.

Troopers cited Zantow on charges of expired registration, failure to wear a seat belt, expired driver's license, open container and failure to show proof of insurance.
