"It's very important we have some sort of method to keep them registered effectively forever," said Supervisor Philip Barrett, R-Clifton Park, the committee chairman.
Anyone violating the law would be subject to a violation carrying a penalty of up to $250 and 15 days in jail. Additional violations would be a misdemeanor carrying a fine of up to $500 and up to six months in the Saratoga County Jail.
