MOUNT VERNON, Va. The father of our country -- as a teenager. That's the idea behind a new exhibit at George Washington's Mount Vernon estate in northern Virginia. Workers at Mount Vernon are putting the finishing touches on three lifesize recreations of Washington. They depict a 19-year-old surveyor, a 45-year-old commander of the Continental Army and at age 57, the first president of the newly independent United States. The three views of Washington cost over a (m) million dollars and will go on display next month. The 19-year-old Washington has spindly legs, narrow shoulders and wide hips. The exhibit's creators say they want to show Washington as realistically as possible, not just the way we see him on a dollar bill.
